Obama TV in Class by Itself

Just when you thought the Obama campaign could not surpass its masterful choreography of the senator's candidacy; they command the airwaves for a 30 minute national television broadcast that was brilliant in its storytelling and first class in its production values. There has never been anything like it before in presidential campaign history. The Obama campaign has not just raised the bar, it has shattered it. While John McCain belittled Obama for pre-empting the World Series, in retrospect it was the only criticism that could be offered by the Republican candidate. Tonight's television special also demonstrates the power of Obama's fundraising operation. He could not have commanded the airwaves without having the funds available to do so. His ability to speak to America tonight was made possible by Americans who have demonstrated their faith in his candidacy with their financial support. Unlike Ross Perot, the Obama special was truly "brought to you by America." I have been in the political game for more than a minute and I can honestly say that we are witnessing a truly remarkable and once in a lifetime political event.
