Several networks have confirmed Ohio for Senator Obama as he inches closer to the magic 270 electoral votes needed for victory. CBS news is reporting a McCain aide suggesting that the Arizona Republican needs a miracle at this point to pull the election out. New Mexico has also gone to Obama, giving him 194 electoral votes. Polls are still open on the west coast so the big prize of California has yet to be added to the mix. Washington and Oregon are also out. Florida, is of course, a big prize and the race is too close to call at this point. Virginia and North Carolina are also too close to call but with Democrats picking up Senate seats in those states, the momentum from those races may help the top of the ticket.
