Anything is possible under the sun. Everyday we are reminded that the universe takes care of even the smallest of us. A young girl is discovered as the lone survivor of a plane crash, as she hangs on for dear life in the middle of the ocean. A beautiful young woman who “loses” her face in a fire, but today wakes up everyday, eager and excited about life. Mandela serves 27 years in prison for fighting apartheid and is released to become President of South Africa.

There are many more “impossibilities” to be told. Even our everyday life circumstances wear on us, telling us our great plans and goals are impossible to achieve. Factor in a recession, and no wonder we are possibly angry, depressed, and feeling under-achieved.

I don’t think you need to be a particularly religious individual to believe that, with faith all things are possible. Despite what current circumstances might dictate, we must trust that in time, all things will be revealed for our good. Most of our obstacles live in our minds, our point of view, and the “story” we bring to a situation.

Think back to the last project you were totally passionate about; you felt motivated, eager, invested, confident, and unstoppable. Was it any surprise that you felt accomplished, regardless of what others might of said? In fact, all you heard were good things. So, moving beyond the impossible rests with you choosing that you can create something amazing in your life.

Did I say there wouldn’t be obstacles? Did I say there wouldn’t be days where you feel like staying in bed? Yes, there will be! But no expert needs to tell you that there are lessons in every “knock down.” Get up and keep steppin’! But before you step off consider the lesson to be learned. Ask yourself “What would I do different?” “What part did I play in this breakdown?”

In the end, the reason most of us don’t achieve what it is that we say we truly want in life, is that we don’t REALLY believe it’s possible; we have traded that dream in for something else a long time ago, we are defeated by the naysayers, or allowed negativity to live in our hearts. Achievers not only believe, they have a plan, and they are willing to learn along the way.
